"If the Earth were a single state, Istanbul would be its capital." said Napoleon Bonaparte.
That is what makes the thirtieth ICECS 2023 unique compared to the previous ones. Another feature that differentiates this ICECS from the others is the city tour on the third day starting with a lecture on Istanbul in the morning, continuing with visits to most prominent sites (time allows only 10% of the sites unfortunately) ending with a banquet offering local dishes and local music.
Such attraction will be well deserved after some hard work which, I am sure you will undertake during the three conference days by attending lectures which are plentiful in variety: regular, special and demo sessions, tutorials, posters, exhibits. One of the benefits, if not the main, of such conferences is of course to meet colleagues, to exchange new ideas and to form bonds for future collaboration. We hope that our young colleagues will take advantage from the platform offered by ICECS 2023 to form such bonds. The Conference Committee, the Track Chairs, the Referees, the Secretariat have all worked hard to make this conference scientifically satiable, socially rewarding, historically unique and touristically entertaining. Enjoy the conference, enjoy the city, make the most of your stay.
Another issue, this time a commemoration of prime importance, is that Türkiye is celebrating the Centennial Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of its Republic on Ocober 29. Comprehensive festivities, audiovisual shows etc. will take place throughout the country.
